About Thayatal

The national park Thayatal is located in lower Austria along the border with the Czech republic. The Thayatal with its steep slope forests is one of the most beautiful valleys in Austria.

In the national park you can find the castle Hardegg and the ruins of Kaja from the Austrian part of Hardegg you can go over the Thayabridge which forms the state border with the Czech republic. Here you can enjoy the Czech part of the national park of foot or by bike.
