About Tauplitz

The Tauplitz is a small to medium ski resort perfect for a few days of skiing while visiting Austria. Tauplitz is located in the state of Styria and has to offer amazing skiing for beginners and slightly more advanced skiers. Families will also feel right at home here. Tauplitz is usually very quiet and offers some great slopes for children. In the middle of the ski resort is a small authentic alpine village that you can ski right through.

Strengths and weaknesses:

Beginners: as mentioned beginners will have a perfect opportunity to learn the basics here.

Very calm: there are hardly ever waiting times on the lifts in Tauplitz

Food: Tauplitz offers some authentic restaurants and mountain huts where you will be able to eat some great food

Weak points:

No après-ski: if après-skiing is your cup of tea you will have to take a look at one of the other Austrian ski resorts.

Flats: the Tauplitz resort has some flats where snowboarders will have to take off their boards and walk a few meters.
