About Steinplatte

Steinplatte is a medium to small ski resort located between the Austrian and German border in Tyrol. The steinplatte resort offers some great slopes that are perfect for beginning snowboarders and skiiers. The ski resort is separated in connected  mountains the Austrian steinplatte and the German winklmoosalm.

The steinplatte ski resort offers modern lifts and almost all slopes are equipped with snow canons which allows for great slope conditions.

Strengths and weaknesses:

Beginners will love it in the steinplatte resort with many blue runs to really practice your skills.

The ski resort usually is not really busy and waiting times at the lifts are limited. Only at the restaurants it can get quite full.

Weak points

If you are an advanced or expert skier or boarder you will not last the full week without getting a bit bored in this resort. For a day or 2 its fun but make sure to look at other ski resorts if you are looking for a full week or 2 of challenging slopes.

Not suitable for large tours, if you are looking for km long runs with day long tours this resort is simply too small.
