About The Silvretta Mountains

The Silvretta mountains is located in the central eastern alps in the states Tyrol and Vorarlberg in Austria and in the Grisons canton of Switzerland. the Silvretta mountains are home to 100s of mountains with a peak 3000 meters or above and houses numerous larger and smaller glaciers.

The Silvretta is divided into two regions the larger part with the highest peak located in Switzerland and the Austrian part of Silvretta. The two can be separated by the fact that the swiss part is largely under developed and less known by tourists as its Austrian counterpart.
