About Lake Irrsee

Lake Irrsee is located in the Salzkammergut region of upper Austria and is one of the warmest lakes in the whole Salzkammergut. Lake Irrsee is the highest lake in the lake chain that continues to lake Mondsee and lake Attersee. During the summer months lake Irrsee can warm up to a temperature off 27 degrees Celsius and is considered to be one of the best bathing lakes in this part of Austria.

Tourism in the Salzkammergut is mainly located around the other lakes and this makes lake Irrsee one of the quietest ones with a smaller tourism infrastructure.

During the winter months lake Irrsee regularly freezes and is used for ice skating and other ice related sports.
