About Lake Blindsee

Lake Blindsee is located in Tyrol at an altitude of 1093 meters above sea level. The lake is up to 25 meters deep. Like the entire valley floor of the fernpass, the Blindsee itself was formed by a massive landslide about 4000 years ago. As for tourism around the lake the lake offers a perfect location for scuba diving. With visibility up to 30 meters and an abundance of fish and underwater scenery. In the summer the lake also offers a place to take a refreshing swim as it warms up to around 24 degrees Celsius. Hiking trails around the lake make up for a perfect day full of activity.
