About Dachstein West

Dachstein west is a smaller ski resort located between the state of Salzburg and upper Austria. dachstein-west won’t be the ideal ski resort for the real beginner, but if you have some experience you will enjoy yourself to the fullest. the food on the slopes is from a high quality and you will find amazing authentic mountain huts all over the resort. Because Dachstein west isn’t that well known it is the perfect resort to go to with your family. Dachstein west ski resort is located above 3 villages Annaberg, Russbach and Gossau. These little villages offer peace and quiet and après-ski can hardly be found here.

Strengths:

Dachstein west is a quit resort so no waiting times and the slopes are not crowded as well.

Some amazing authentic food on the slopes

Child friendly, the resort offers amazing classes and special slopes just for the kids.

Price level is also a big plus in this resort, compared to other ski resorts in Austria the prices here are on the lower side.

Weak points:

Many flats, as a snowboarder you will most likely have to get off your board and walk if you visit this resort.

No après-ski: if you are looking for a nice week of partying this is not the resort for you.
